A better club forecast tier is coming soon
The free widget is for simple branded club pages. The next tier is for clubs that want managed forecast surfaces across widgets, hosted pages, summaries, events, thresholds, and basic analytics.
The free club widget has one job: make it easy for a club to show a useful soaring forecast without building anything. One site, fixed fields, branded, reviewed by hand. That is enough for a lot of club weather pages, and it is the right place to start.
There is a second shape that keeps coming up though: clubs that do not want to build against the API, but do want a more polished member-facing forecast surface. Not a developer product. Not an app. A managed club display product that someone can pay for and stop thinking about.
That is what the better club forecast tier is for. The likely shape is around GBP 10 to 15 per month. The extra value is not more raw model data. It is presentation and operations: multiple club sites or launch points, club logo, simple colour choices, compact or wide layouts, softer branding, and forecast thresholds like good, marginal, blown out, or low cloudbase.
Email summaries are also a natural fit. A club committee, instructor group, or member list could get a morning note with the same headline fields: day rating, thermal strength, cloudbase, usable height, wind, and any caution flags. That is different from an API key. It is a managed briefing product for people who just want the answer to arrive.
Analytics can stay simple: widget views, top referrers, and whether people are using the hosted page or the iframe. That is enough to tell a club whether the weather page is being used, and enough for Convek to see which setups are worth supporting more deeply.
The boundary matters. If you are building an app, instrument integration, route planner, commercial dashboard, or anything redistributing forecast data to users, you belong on the Dev, Dev Pro, or Partner API tiers. The club forecast tier is for clubs that want Convek to run member-facing forecast surfaces for them. Different product, different buyer, different support expectation.
For now the free enquiry-led setup is the path in. Request a widget, hosted page, morning summary, or event forecast page, try it with real club members, and tell me what would make it worth paying for. The club enquiry form is open, and the installation guide shows the current widget flow.
