About soaring weather in Poland

Polish flatland XC is competitive at world level. The convergence-driven days that produce 800-1000 km tasks out of Leszno or Lubin are exactly the kind of organised mesoscale feature a 4 km regional model resolves and a 25 km global one parameterises into mush.

The Beskids and Tatras add a southern mountain component that pulls a strong paragliding scene around Bielsko-BiaΕ‚a. Two very different forecast problems inside one country, which is why the soaring-specific post-processing matters as much as the raw model resolution.

Day-window and sounding labels would use Europe/Warsaw.
